NetApp / Sr. UX Designer

July 2024 – Present

– Designed UX for the Infrastructure as a Service platform, including a guided selling workflow that reduced a previously months-long process down to 3 days.

– Founded and led a 10-person accessibility working group across design, engineering, and content, tracking VPAT scores, auditing major designs before launch, and embedding accessibility practices early in the design process.

– Collaborated with Microsoft and Google to bring NetApp functionality natively into Azure NetApp Files and Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, working directly with both companies’ teams and designing within their established design systems.

– Launched the UX Champions program to strengthen design and engineering collaboration, driving a design system overhaul that aligned components across design and code and unlocked AI-assisted workflows for generating design-system-compliant code.

– Directed UX for an AI-powered search integration on docs.netapp.com, surfacing AI-generated summaries in search results to help users find documentation faster.

Duo Security (Cisco) / Sr. UX Engineer

October 2022 – July 2024

– Led engineering on a team of two designers and two engineers to build an automated design token engine that pulls style data from Figma and uses Style Dictionary to generate platform-ready style files for engineering teams.

– Applied the token engine to architect a multi-brand design system now used across Cisco, Meraki, Duo, and Splunk, supporting 8 themes across 4 brands.

– Contributed to the Magnetic design system through component and template development, giving engineering teams a consistent, well-documented foundation for building accessible applications.

Cisco / UX Engineer

May 2020 – October 2022

– Established and led the DesignOps strategy within the Employee Experience team, integrating UX practices across Cisco’s product development lifecycle.

– Built internal design tooling to accelerate design and development workflows while making design system adoption easier for both designers and engineers.

– Introduced design tokens to the team’s design system, now in active use across internal employee applications.

– Worked cross-functionally with UX designers, researchers, engineers, product managers, and marketing to execute the DesignOps strategy at scale.

Cisco / Fullstack Engineer

July 2017 – May 2020

– Led end-to-end development, architecture, and support for blogs.cisco.com, migrating the legacy on-premise application to GCP and achieving an 86% improvement in site performance, a 10% increase in SEO, and 99.99% uptime.

– Built and managed application infrastructure for blog.webex.com, ciscolive.com, and Cisco’s global blog network on GCP, supporting a brand launch across 30 languages and regions.

– Developed an algorithm to match invoice data with global shipment activity for automated departmental billing, achieving a 98% match rate and streamlining the processing of shipping costs, taxes, and import and duty fees.
